My name is Jeffrey Laag and I am the founder and operator of “Lost Ring & Jewelry Recovery Service” & “Ring Finders Cape May.com”  I entered into the hobby of metal detecting well over 15 years ago. I really enjoyed walking along the beaches and shore lines of my home town in Cape May, NJ searching for treasures in my spare time. All too often, while out detecting, I would be approached by someone that had lost a valuable on the beach or even in the surf. They always started off the conversation with “its probably gone forever, but could you help me look for my lost ring?” I was always happy to assist and in almost every case reunited them with their valuable a short time later!  Overjoyed, as usual, people would often tell me that they had no idea of where to turn to get help and had no idea of what they were going to do if I had not come along.  Seeing this situation play out time and time again, especially in the summer months, I began researching a way to advertise my services so it would be easier for someone to find me in their time of need. I eventually came across “The Ring Finders Directory” which is an online directory of detectorists arranged geographically to help get someone in touch with a detectorist in their time of need. I joined “The Ring Finders Directory” in 2015 and started my service “Lost Ring & Jewlery Recovery Service”. Since then I have helped hundreds of people recover hundreds of items totaling tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars! Everything from wedding rings and bands to custom jewelry pieces, Rolex watches, cell phones, keys, bracelets, chains, charms, medallions, even a silver plated tooth implant!
