Received a referral from fellow ring finder Dave Milsted as he was unavailable at the time. I spoke with Ben whom explained that his wife, Samantha accidently dropped her ring into the sand after taking it off to apply sunscreen and forgot to put it back on before standing. I took the brief ride over and met up with Ben and Samantha on Trenton Ave beach and recovered Samanthas ring within a few minutes. Another happy couple!

I received a call from Deb this afternoon. She explained that she was at the beach with friends and her ring flew off her hand when the wind took off with the umbrella she was trying to set up. Deb had a general idea of where the ring landed but after searching on her hands and knees, with friends helping, she could not find her ring of 40 years. Took the short ride over from home and met up with Deb and her friends on Broadway beach. I managed to recover her ring in about 5 minutes, much to her relief. Another happy client! At Debs request, only her ring is pictured, and what a beauty it is!

Received a referral from fellow recovery detectorist Matty StGermain. Spoke with Carmen, whom explained that she had briefly removed her rings, which were originally her mothers rings, to apply sunscreen while at the beach the yesterday on Perry St, here in Cape May. After applying the sunscreen she stood up not realizing that her rings were still on her lap causing them to drop snd disappear into the sand. Later in the day she realized what had happened and attempted to search with no success. I met up with Carmen and her husband and recovered both of her rings in about 5 minutes. Another happy couple!

Two weeks ago I received a call from Rich around 8pm while he was on his way home from Cape May. Rich explained that he was out enjoying a day on the bay when a squall came in that afternoon causing him to abruptly pack up and head for his car. In the process he dropped his gold chain and medallion which were given to him by his late parents. Rich expressed his concern and urgency to attempt to recover this item. When Rich called, I was out to dinner with family, but after gathering some location details I decided that I would try for his chain that same evening once we returned back home. One of the more difficult aspects of this recovery was the location. Rich had parked at the end of New England Road and walked about 1 & 1/2 miles along the bay to where he set up. Luckily he snapped a photo and I was able to find the area he was sitting based upon the drift wood in the photo Rich sent. After arriving to the area around 11pm that evening, the chain and medallion was recovered shortly there after. I kept Rich’s chain in safe keeping until he was able to come back down to pick up his chain. Rich asked for his photo to be excluded from the post, but see his review below. Another happy customer!

Received a call from Steph this evening after being recommended to her on a local FB group. Steph explained that her friend, Amber, lost her engagement ring while brushing sand off of her hands at Sunset Beach. She and her friends had been sifting thru the sand on their hands and knees for over an hour with no success. Took the ten minute ride over to Sunset Beach from home and met up with Amber, Steph, & the rest of their party. There was a palpable nervous tension but I tried to reassure the group that I would get the ring back. Started a tight grid pattern and recovered Ambers ring on the second pass in about 5 minutes. Tears of joy flowed! Another happy client!

Received a call from Robert this afternoon. Robert explained that he lost his wedding ring on Grant St beach while playing baseball with his family in Cape May. Robert was fairly certain as to where the ring may have fallen but wasnt 100% sure. Took the short ride over into town and met up with Robert and his family. Roberts ring was back on his finger about 5 minutes after arriving. Another happy family!

I received a call from Taylor last week. Taylor explained that she was on the beach visiting for the day from PA and she believes that she may have dropped her wedding band into the water. I took the short ride over and met up with Taylor and her husband in front of Wildwood convention hall. While walking down towards the beach, Taylor explained that she had removed all three of her rings and placed them in the same pocket with her cell phone. Later on, she had waded out to about calf deep water and pulled her phone out to grab a few pictures. When she pulled out her phone Taylor beleived that one of her rings came out with the phone and dropped into the ocean water. It was just about high tide when I initially met with the couple and I explained that it may be best to wait for low tide to try and recover the ring. Later, the same day, I rode back over and began searching for Taylors ring. I managed to recover her ring a short time later. Taylors ring was shipped back to her the very next day. Another happy and relieved couple!

I received a message from Marlene. She explained that she had been at the beach in Cape May Point with her fiance and friends. She wanted to hop in the ocean for a bit and handed her rings to a friend for safe keeping. Her friend placed the rings in the cup holder of a beach chair. Later on, unbeknownst to Marlene she folded her chair as they were packing up and began walking back to her car. She asked her friend for her rings back and then realized what had transpired. Marlene and her fiance remained back at the beach site frantically searching for 3+ hrs before finding my information. I rode over and met up with the couple in about 10 minutes and had her ring in the scoop about 5 minutes after that! Another happy and relieved couple!

I received a message from Genevieve Sunday afternoon explaining that she had lost her wedding ring in the sand while at the beach with her family. She had placed her ring in the cupholder of her beach chair to apply sunscreen. Later, her husband folded and relocated their belongings as the tide was moving. He had no idea that his wifes ring was in the chair when he folded the chair and once folded the ring disappeared into the sand. After the couple realized what had happened they began frantically searching for the ring. Other beach goers saw them searching and pitched in to search as well, even one of the lifeguards lent a hand! After a while, the group came up empty handed. Thats when Genevieve reached out for help. Usually I dont travel to Brigantine on Sundays as Northbound traffic can be horrendous but I could tell that Genevieve was upset and really needed some help. I took the ride up and met with the couple on 31st street beach. After a brief discussion I began searching the areas outlined by her husband. About 45 minutes later I had her ring in the scoop. Genevieve explained that the ring was so special as it contained diamonds from her grandmothers wedding ring and was very special to the couple! The entire beach was thrilled to see the ring! Another happy couple!

I was tagged by several folks in a post on Cape May Live. The poster was asking for people to keep an eye out for her husband’s gold ring that slipped off in the surf. I messaged the couple and we chatted back and forth about what exactly happened and where. She was able to outline the specific area and time of day that the loss occurred. Timing wise, I felt that the best chances would be during the low tide cycle the following morning. I took the 5 minute ride for home yesterday morning and began searching. After about 1 hour or so I got the sigbal I was searching for and out popped the ring from thigh deep surf. The couple confirmed the inscribed date and picked up the ring yesterday afternoon. They both thought the ring was “gone forever” after 27 years of marriage. Another happy couple!

I received a message from Ken the other day. He explained that his wife was sitting with their daughter just at the edge of the water on the beach in Wildwood Crest . The pair were chatting about his wife, Shellys, ring which she had just had repaired and had taken it off to show to her daughter. While doing so, a larger wave rushed in and startled the pair causing the ring to be flung behind them towards the upper beach as they were facing the water when it happened. The ring landed in the shallow water and disappeared. Shelly was devastated, and the family searched for hours trying to locate the ring. Luckily, Ken, Shellys husband, did an excellent job noting the approximate location and took note of the time as the tide was moving in. We discussed the event a bit and decided to wait until the tide was heading back out so the water would be at a reasonable depth. I met the couple on the beach at just about dark around 9pm and began searching. About 15 minutes later I heard the signal I was searching for, 1 scoop later the ring was back on Shellys finger. She was elated to say the least! The couple informed me that Ken had proposed to Shelly over 40 years prior just a few blocks down beach. Another relieved & happy couple!

I received a call from Tori’s mother after Tori’s ring had fallen into the sand and disappeared. Luckily, her mom knew just the right group to contact. She reached out to our team page at The Ring Finders New Jersey! I was happy to make the trip up and recover Tori’s ring. Once I arrived on the beach I recovered the ring in about 1 minute after turning the detector on much to the newly wed brides relief. Now they can enjoy the rrst of their vacation. Received a call from Laura. She explained that she had taken off her rings while on Diamond Beach in Wildwood Crest in front of The Grande and handed them to her husband while she applied sunscreen. Later he handed them back to her and she placed them on her lap, this all happened on Saturday. Several days later Laura was looking for her rings, which she assumed she had placed somewhere in her home. After checking the usual spots panic began to set in after she realized that she never picked them back up after her husband handed them back to her while on the beach in Wildwood Crest. Laura contacted me the following Thursday evening. We spoke and she outlined a specific area on a map pic that I had sent to her. I went down that same Thursday evening only to be met with 30-40mph winds and an onshore blown in tide. The beach was a mess as a result of these weather conditions. I still managed to check a fairly large area but with no success. I advised Laura of the conditions and lack of results and told her that I would try another day once things calmed down however I was skeptical at best considering the location she directed me to. A few days later Laura contacted me again and said that a little girl and her grandmother were playing in the sand in front of The Icona Star Beach Bar and happened across one of Lauras rings! They turned the ring into The Grand staff to be returned to Laura. Laura immediately advised me of what had transpired and the next morning at 5am I went down to check the area where the one ring was found. The area where the first ring was found was about 800yds from where Laura had originally identified to me. I thoroughly checked that area and found nothing but trash. Since I was already there I walked back down to the original area and was able to make a few passes closer to the normal high tide line and BAM got a signal worth checking. Out came the platinum diamond wedding band! Laura spoke with The Grande and I picked up the first ring and delivered both back to Laura the following week. She was absolutely elated! Another successful recovery! How the first ring ended up so far from the original spot may always be a mystery but at least they are both back where they belong! I was contacted by Jennifer after being tagged multiple times on a social media post. Jennifer explained that her husband had taken a surfing lesson on his birthday on Queen St beach in Cape May. During the lesson, his necklack broke and he lost his late daughters memoriam charms in the surf. I chatted back and forth with Jennifer and gathered some specific details. Took a ride over and checked at low tide this morning around 6:30am. After about an hour of searching the surf I was able to recover the charms and reunite them with Phil and Jennifer. Another happy couple!

Received a message from Julia on Tuesday evening (July 15th). Julia explained that she could not locate her two wedding rings. She had a picture from July 4th where her rings were visible in the picture on her hand. On July 5th she had spent the day on Jefferson St beach here in Cape May. Julia wasnt entirely sure but she couldnt rule out that they “could” be on the beach near where she had been sitting that day. She didnt recall removing them for any reason. Now keep in mind, this is now 11 days later! We exchanged some location specifics and she was able to provide me with an approximate area via a marked up google image and photos she took from her beach chair that day. Julia was skeptical that they were even there, but I assured her that I would check anyways, at least then she would know if they were there or not. I took a ride over to Jefferson St beach Wednesday, early evening, after the crowds has left for the day. I began working a very tight search pattern over the area. Many target signals were recovered, but about 45 minutes into the search the detector indicated a signal I had been hoping for. Two scoops later her engagement ring emerged from the sand. I continued searching the immediate area and about 10ft further down-beach I recovered her wedding band. Julia had already returned to her home outside of Philadelphia PA the week prior. By chance, I was flying out of Philadelphia Airport this morning on business. I made arrangements with Julia and she met me in the terminal where she was reunited with her rings! Another happy client! And yes, for the record, shes extremely lucky these didnt get picked up considering the time of year, how long they were there, beach tractors, and the amount of activity on that beach, etc.

Received a message from Bethann. She explained that her husband lost his ring on Trenton Ave beach while playing with their granschild in the sand. Rode over and met up with the couple. After a very brief search I managed to recover the ring. Another happy couple!

Received a call from Tony. He explained that his wife had dropped her diamond ring somewhere between the beach entrance and where they set up on the beach. Took the short ride over from home and met up with Tom at the entrance to Philadelphia beach. Tony led me from the entrance of the beach to where his party had set up their belongings for the day. I checked the path to their site while he directed me to it with a few coins found along the way. One reaching their site I met Toms wife Thanh and bean checking around their cabana. With the first swing I heard a familiar tone. One shallow scoop later I had Thanh’s ring in the scoop, much to the couples relief! Another happy couple!

Received a call from Collier, Collier explained that his ring had slipped off while he was standing in knee deep surf and disappeared beneath the water. While on the phone with Collier I checked the tide chart and we planned on meeting up once the tide receded. Once the tide was down to almost low, I met Collier on the beach. Once he directed me to the general area I began checking and located his ring in about 5 minutes, much to Colliers surprise! Another vacation saved!

I received a late night text from Lily explaining that she and her girlfriends had spent an afternoon on Sunset Beach off Alexander Ave in Cape May Point. At some point she believed that her mothers class ring, which Lily wore, had slipped out of her shorts pocket while they were on the beach. This occurred about TWO WEEKS prior to her reaching out! We chatted back and forth while I gathered some specifics about their location. Lily wasnt sure if the ring was even there but I assured her that I would attempt to check the area regardless. The next morning I rode over to Alexander Ave and began checking the area before beach patrons arrived. With only one photograph and a text description of the area I began checking the beach. After about 25 minutes of searching I had her mothers ring in the scoop. Lily had already returned home several weeks prior so he ring was shipped back to her. Another happy client, another successful hunt!

Despite the beach and weather conditions from offshore hurricane Erin, Morganna and her husband managed to sneak in some beach time enjoying the sand with their children on the beach here in Cape May. Her husband had removed his ring and placed it in the pouch of their beach chair for safe keeping while they played in the sand with their children. After a few hours, and deteriorating weather conditions, the family packed up the crew snd headed off the beach forgetting that the ring had been placed in the chair pocket. Shortly after returning to their hotel room the couple realized what had transpired and began checking the chair only to find the ring was gone. They returned to the beach to search with no success. During this time Cape May had experienced extremely rough surf and very high tides due to hurricane Erin. The next morning Morganna reached out and we made arrangements to meet on the beach. Once she led me to the general area where they were set up on the beach I began searching. After about 30 minutes of searching I had her husbands ring in the scoop. Clearly the high tide had washed over it, and given where it was found, had also moved the ring about 25 yards from where the family had been sitting. Another happy couple!

Received a call from Joes cousin Nicole. Nicole explained that her cousin Joe had just lost his ring in the surf while enjoying the ocean with the family. Joe was body surfing, and at some point, his gold wedding ring had slipped off and disappeared into the ocean. It was just about 5pm when they called and low tide was at 5:30pm. I immediately rushed up and met up with Joe and his family. Joe was fairly confident of where he was at when he noticed the ring was gone but wasnt positive of exactly when it happened. He was between chest deep water and ankle deep surf. I began working a search grid from where he believed was the most probable spot. After recovering many targets in the “wash zone” I began to work my way out to deeper water. Joe and his family had returned to their home for dinner and I assured them that I would continue searching the area to ensure it was thoroughly covered. After about 2hrs of searching I heard the signal I was waiting for. After two scoops in chest deep water out popped Joes ring! Another happy client!

Received a message from Joe this past Tuesday evening. Joe explained that last Sunday he was at the beach on 7th street in North Wildwood with family. At some point, while on the beach, his wedding band fell off. Joe didnt realize this until he was on his way home on Rt55 near Elmer NJ. After gathering some details from Joe and checking the forcast and tide tables I figured that I would give it a shot the next morning at low tide. We had some really snotty weather move thru the area last week, but it “let up” long enough for me to swing over and give it a shot. After about 25 minute hunt I swung my coil over a really clean solid signal. One scoop later I had Joes ring in my scoop! I texted Joe a picture and to his disbelief it was, in fact, his ring! Joe and his family came by today and picked up his ring. He informed me that he lost the ring the day before his 8th anniversary. Another successful recovery, another happy couple! Received a call from Ken. Ken explained that he was in Cape May enjoying some time on the beach with his family. While playing with his son, Ken felt his ring fling off his finger immediately disappearing into the sand. Ken and his wife searched the area but came up empty handed. Luckily, after a brief google search Ken landed on Ring Finders Cape May. I met the couple on the beach first thing the next morning and we headed down to the high tide line. It was obvious that the tide had washed over the area overnight. I began searching the area and recovered Kens ring in about 5 minutes. Another happy couple!

I received a call from Jeff. Jeff explained that he and his family had just arrived at the beach and his wife’s diamond rings “flung off” her fingers and disappeared into the sand. Jeff and his wife began searching frantically with no luck. Their activity drew attention from some other families on the beach whom also joined in on the search. After several hours of searching, Jeff began searching the internet at the recommendation of a relative. After a brief google search, Jeff landed on Ring Finders Cape May. I was preparing dinner at home when Jeff called, but I decided to take the 15-minute ride over to help him immediately as the radar was showing inbound storms that “may” impact our area and didn’t want to wait. Shortly after arriving, I met up with Jeff and recovered his wife’s rings in about two minutes! Another successful recovery, another happy couple!

Received a call from Patrick’s sister. She explained that her brother believed he “might” have lost his ring at Poverty Beach here in Cape May at some point today. Patrick was currently returning to his home to check around the house but he believed it may have slipped of at some point while he and his family were enjoying the day on the beach. Patrick wanted to thoroughly check at home and preferred to meet in the morning if his search at home didn’t produce any results. Later in the evening Patrick confirmed that he couldn’t locate the ring at home. Patrick did mark his location with a gps pin and forwarded it to me. We agreed to meet at the beach ahead of the crowds at 7:30am the next morning. I arrived around 7am and decided to start a little early. I proceed to the coordinates Patrick provided and began carefully searching the area. After a brief search, I swung my coil over his ring and managed to recover Patricks ring in about 10 minutes! I called Patrick, whom was just leaving his home to come meet me, and told him the good news, we met at our local firehouse offshore and he was reunited with his ring. Another happy client!

A beautiful beach day on Pittsburgh Ave in Wildwood Crest almost turned heartbreaking. I received a call from Alexis. Alexis explained that she had been on the beach earlier in the day with her family. While at the beach, she had removed all her rings and placed them in the velcro pouch on the side of her beach chair. After packing up and walking back home she checked the pouch and found that her multi generational heirloom engagement ring was gone, however, her other 3 rings were still in the pouch. Alexis immediately returned to the beach and began frantically searching the sand for her ring. Her activity drew the attention of other beach goers whom also joined the search. A few folks recommended to Alexis to call Ring Finders Cape May as “that guy finds everything”! After speaking with Alexis, I met up with her about 10 minutes later on the beach in Wildwood Crest. Alexis directed me to the area she had been set up and I began carefully searching the area. After about 45 minutes I had not received the tone I was searching for so I greatly expanded the search area as we both believed it may have fallen out when she began walking home from the beach. About another 30-45 minutes later I got the signal I had been searching for about 15-20 yards from the original search area. Sure enough, Alexis ring emerged from the sand in my scoop. Tears of joy began flowing instantly. Alexis explained that this ring had been passed down thru three generations of her family and was truly irreplaceable! Another happy couple, another beach day saved!

I received a call from Teo. Teo explained that he was on the beach, here in Cape May, playing volley ball when his ring slipped off of his finger and disappeared into the soft sand. Teo and his friends began searching, attempting to rake the sand with their fingers but came up empty handed. After speaking with one of Steger Beach Chair rental employee he was directed to Ring Finders Cape May. I spoke with Teo and gathered some location specifics and he dropped a gps pin to mark the approximate area. Teo had to return home for a prior engagement but I assured him that I would check the area for his ring. After arriving at his gps pinned location I began searching. After a brief 15 minute hunt I had his ring in the scoop! Teo picked it up the next day!

I received a call from Chris. Chris explained that he had just gotten married, here in Cape May, three days ago and he lost his ring in the sand. Chris said that he had taken his ring off to apply sunscreen placing it on his beach chair, the chair tipped and the ring slipped off the chair and disappeared into the sand. After the newly wed couple searched on their own they came up empty handed, thats when they were recommended to Ring Finders Cape May. I met the couple on the beach in front of Congress Hall about 5 minutes after they called. After a brief search I recovered Chris’s ring in about 2 minutes! Now the happy couple can get back to celebrating their newly formed union as one! Another happy “newly wed” couple!
